Vancoderm’s Aesthetic medicine and laser curriculum is a specialized area of study that focuses on the use of advanced laser technology and non-surgical aesthetic and cosmetic procedures to enhance a person’s health and appearance. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including laser physics and safety, cosmetic injectables, skin rejuvenation, and hair removal, tattoo removal, Body Contouring Endormology, Mesotherapy, Microneedling, Derma Pen, Trichology, Hand, Foot Care, and IPL Technology. Students are also trained on the latest technologies and techniques used in aesthetic medicine, such as fractional technologies and intense pulsed light therapy. This curriculum emphasizes hands-on training to provide students with practical experience in performing procedures on patients. Additionally, the curriculum emphasizes cosmetology, skin disorders, various skin conditions, wound healing, safety protocols, patient care, medical spa management, resume writing, cover letters, MOC interviews, the licensure process, documentation, consultation, informed consent forms, ethics, and Canadian rules and regulations in aesthetic medicine. Hands-on training is a crucial component of the program, enabling students to develop practical skills by performing procedures on live models.
Vancoderm Academy Institute offers a practicum, Canada Work Experience as part of its Clinical Practitioner Specialist (TM) Diploma and Advanced Medical Aesthetician Diploma to provide students with valuable work experience. During the practicum, students are placed in a clinical setting where they work alongside experienced professionals in the field of cosmetic dermatology. The practicum provides an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their coursework to real-world situations.
Under the guidance of experienced doctors, Medical Aestheticians, and clinical practitioners, students are exposed to a variety of cosmetic, and aesthetic medicine procedures and techniques, such as laser hair reduction, skin rejuvenation, and injectables. Students also have the opportunity to work with clients, providing consultations and performing procedures under the supervision of their mentor
The practicum is a crucial component of the program as it allows students to gain practical Canada-Work- Experience, build confidence, and make important connections in the field in Canada. The experience gained during the practicum can also help graduates stand out in the job market and prepare them for a successful career in aesthetic medicine and laser technologies. Most diploma students secure employment during their practicum.
